A man from Worcester who recently won $1 million on a scratch ticket says he plans to invest his winnings.
Robert Fitzgerald hit the jackpot on Mass. State Lottery’s 4,000,000 Mayhem $10 instant ticket game, according to a release from the lottery.
"Fitzgerald opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes)," the lottery wrote.
He got his winning ticket at the Shaw’s at 68 Stafford Street in Worcester.
The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket, the lottery said.
